Soccer tips, whether you want them or not is freely available to you, everywhere you go. Just try it. When you come off the pitch, the coach tells you what you did wrong. The other players waste no time telling you what to do next week. Back out in the street, the spectators come up and tell you exactly what you should have done.

Of course, the trouble with this is that one person will tell you one thing and another person might tell you the exact opposite! For a young, new player this can be an awful situation. It can seriously affect his game if he has conflicting directions running through his brain while he is playing. The best advice is to pay attention to the coach and his team mates. Other than that, just nod and smile.

Players must look at all aspects of their lives. Their coaches will discuss their training, the plays and even lifestyles with their players. Any one who is serious about becoming a good player and making it into the Premiership will change all parts of their lives to focus on becoming the best footballer possible.

In the good old days, there was much less emphasis on all these things. I saw an interview with someone who was extremely famous in the seventies and he said that an hour before the match they all used to be in the bar! Not so these days. Every aspect of the top teams' lives are managed to the smallest, tiniest detail.

Training tips are about how and when to train. Also how often. The coach will set the times and venues and all the team must turn up to train. In general: be on time and come prepared. It is absolutely no use arriving half an hour into the session with half of your equipment missing. You will soon lose popularity and more importantly, lose vital hours getting to know how you all play together as a team. Spending time with them lets you get to know instinctively what they will do next.

Playing tips are unique to each coach. They will describe the plays and the formation, but you can pick up extremely valuable tips by watching other players. It is useful to watch as many old games as you can. These games not only show good play, but also mistakes made by the players in the leagues. It is by watching these games and imitating what the players do and how they play that most new players learn the most.

Sports science has been improved in leaps and bounds. There are tips about how your muscles function when you are playing. Soccer is different from many other games in that you need to have great bursts of energy for fairly short periods of time, so you need to know how your body functions under these conditions. You will need to get tips about what you eat and when you sleep and how long you sleep.

In general all the tips and training are important, and your own attitude is perhaps the most important. Do whatever you can to get in the zone. Have a positive, hopeful mindset and at the end of the day, when you get right down to it, you will be able to perform your best.
