Easy printing with the Brother DCP 7040 Toner is right at the home office entrepreneur's fingertips. It's a breeze to use this three-in-one printer, copier and scanner, for the most part. The unit can store a nice amount of paper and it comes in under 200 dollars in price. For a machine that does everything this one does, it might be just what the home entrepreneur is looking for. The beauty of machines like this one is that they replace three units and reduce congestion in a small office. The DCP-7040 does this well. Add in also that it's a quality laser printer, which makes it perfect for handling all kinds of print taskings will little real effort. There's a typical one-year service warranty which can be extended through a number of different service plans for extra money. This unit can hold about 250 sheets of paper, which is fine for a small three-in-one. There's also a bypass slot for feeding individual documents or envelopes and label jobs. You can't up paper capacity, but that's not usually a concern for machines of this type. It operates with both PCs and Macs, giving it even more versatility. It's capabilities are on full display when its printing or copying. It has USB 2.0 interface ability, enabling it to be easily connected to most any computer still up-and-running over the last few years. There'll certainly be no need to call in an IT person to do the hooking-up. When it's used in printer mode, the DCP-7040 can print pages at up to 23 black and white pages per minute. This is an excellent output for a machine costing well under 200 dollars in most shops and stores. As always, output speed can be greater or lesser, depending on the complexity and richness of data in the print job that's been selected. It also comes with a more-than-adequate 10,000 page per month duty cycle. This can help hold down scheduled maintenance intervals. This all-in-one Brother has up to 2400 by 600 dots per inch of print resolution. Each document will come out clear and extremely readable, which is what's most important. Additionally, it can copy at 23 ppm in black and white. It reduces down to 25% and can enlarge up to 400%, making it a very versatile copy machine. Its 16MB memory should be adequate for the needs of a home office or small office entrepreneur. The DCP-7040 can operate using either Windows or Mac OS platforms. This allows it to do both black and white, and color-scanning at up to 600 by 2400 dpi optical scan resolution. It comes with document and OCR software packages, adding even more to its versatility. That it comes in a surprisingly compact package is even more impressive. About the Author:
