Despite court orders and injunction to clear the roads and get out of government offices, PAD continues and gearing up as they call it today is "judgment day". The court has accepted an appeal and upon this PAD believes it can continue to bring the country to the brink of destruction.
Core leader of People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) Sondhi Limthongkul called on his supporters living throughout the country to come into Bangkok as quickly as they can and join the anti-government rally at the Government House.
Mr Sondhi called Friday the "judgment day" and that the group would not let anyone to dictate them.
"Today is the judgment day," he said. "We will not let anyone to order us what to do. We will win."
Demonstrators against Samak Government can continue their protest in the Government House compound now that the Appeal Court accepted on Friday to consider their appeal of the civil court's order for them to get out.
Representing the protesters, Nititorn Ngamluea, said that the plantiff; PM's Secretary General Office, has to submit documents to counter the appeal of the protesters within 15 days.
"Therefore, during the period or before the Appeal Court rules on the appeal, the protesters can protest in the Government House's compound," Nititorn said.
Moreover, police has no authority to disperse the protest there, the lawyer said.
On Wednesday night, the civil court ordered for all street protesters to get out of Government House.
Loiluan Boonnag, deputy secretary to Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej, sent a legal representative to petition the court on Wednesday afternoon to order protesters out of Government House.
He said PAD leaders were obstructing government work, including the weekly Cabinet meeting.
The six leaders named in the lawsuit included Suriyasai Katasila, coordinator of the group, and media mogul Sondhi Limthongkul.
The government also asked the court to issue temporary protection to civil servants at Government House so they can resume their work and the Cabinet can meet and hold a function to honour the King and Queen on August 30.
The plaintiff cited numerous acts committed by PAD protesters - trespassing and occupying government House, trespassing at staterun NBT TV station, vandalising the channel, while some protesters carried weapons.
Intrusions into the Finance Ministry, Transport Ministry and Agricultural Ministry were also cited.
At 2.30 pm, hundreds of protesters are trying to push through police at Makawan Rangsan Bridge in order to join rally organised by the People's Alliance for Democracy. The crowds throw water bottle at police. Police have not retaliated and use shields to protect themselves. In another development, the PAD dispatched a truck from Government House to the Royal Plaza to pick up protesters trying to overcome the police barriers.
In a further development to the same subject Anti-government protesters have blocked two of three major international airports in the south amid growing fears simmering political trouble in Bangkok could spread to major provinces.
